Good coffee, unique atmosphere, friendly barista. These charming kind of coffee shops are all over south of the river, but north? Nada. There is outdoor seating, seating in every room and in the basement area. It's located in what used to be a cute old bungalow style house. Small parking lot on it's south side.
I really LOVE the renegade coffee shop! The atmosphere is perfect for studying or hanging out with your friends, and I love the different sections of the house so you can get spaces that are quieter than others. It’s a very comfortable space and is open late for a good late night study session for a student like me. The coffee is also really yummy, and they always have seasonal drinks!
This is the cutest coffee shop! I love the warm atmosphere and how it is decorated… there are so many cute nooks to sit and read and drink some coffee. The outside seating is really nice as well! The breakfast burritos were delicious! And the coffee and vanilla creamer is always delicious. They have new drinks coming out all the time and it’s fun to try them! Very convenient location in between hwy 152 and Barry road. Highly recommend.
For a long time the dividing line for good coffee in Kansas City was the river. My whole life there has only been bad coffee north of the river. Renegade changes that. Their drip coffee is phenomenal and their locally roasted beans are always fresh and priced well.
This is my favorite place to buy whole bean coffee. Each one I’ve tried had been unique, interesting and delicious. Getting a drip coffee for free when I buy them is very much appreciated as well!

I have never seen such a cute coffee shop like this anywhere else! I love the vibe of this place! They have a great patio area for enjoying your coffee and the weather. I tried one of their seasonal coffee flavors and it was very good! I will have to come back to try other flavors! I’m a big plant person so I love their plant displays throughout the shop. I’m so glad I discovered this place!
Such a cool place to visit! I would highly recommend stopping here for a great cup of coffee and some delicious pastries. I gave 4 stars on the food because I got the bacon and egg breakfast burrito, and it wasn't the best. It was decent, but I was looking for perfection. No matter what, this is still a must stop!
